1956 Tops Drive-Inn Founder James Mathews
1960 Believed to be the first Tops Drive-Inn, it was located on Glebe Road near Route 50.
1960 This photo of the parking lot at the Tops Drive-Inn, which once sat at the corner of George Mason Drive and Lee Highway, is from the Wayne Hager Collection.

1955 circa Pick's Grill matchbook cover. It's not listed in the 1961 Arlington County Directory.
1964 circa Back of postcard for the Little Tea House. It was located where the Ridge House Condominium is today.

1985 circa the old Little Tavern in Clarendon which later became Goodys. Little Taverns were founded in Louisville, KY around 1927.
1995 circa One of Arlington's former iconic restaurants, Whitey's, is now Texas Jack's on Washington Blvd.
The Golden Point Restaurant was located at the corner of Glebe Road and Fairfax Drive on the SE corner.
1965 circa Bill Staton's Jack and Jill Cue Club. Bill Staton was one of the best pool players in the country and went on to be a very good golfer. He is also known for his Weenie Beenie restaurants - one is still located in Shirlington.
1990 circa Tom Sarris' Orleans House was a gem in Rosslyn but sadly had to give way to another huge office building.
1955 circa Hicks Restaurant and Market is believed to have been located on Lee Highway in Hall's Hill where the KFC is today.
2010 circa Before it was Tutto Bene Restaurant, it was Ziggy's then J.J.'s Night Club
1945 Originally built to be Appliances by Sheff, a former Kitchen Center, then Dan Kain Trophies, and now Lyon Hall Restaurant
