Arlington Historical Society and the Marymount University Department of History and Politics present:

Two Hills: Writing Historical Fiction on Civil War Arlington with author George Axiotis

Reinsch Library Auditorium, Marymount University

Author George Axiotis, an amateur historian, raised his family between Arlington’s “Two Hills” where he based his novel, a historically-based fictional story of real events as seen through the eyes of a young person. A desire to know what happened in those early days of the Civil War in Arlington, Virginia sparked interest in writing this book. What he found were wonderful stories of happiness and despair, of friendships and fear during a calamitous time in our history.

This program is free and open to the public. It is part of a monthly series of public programs sponsored by the Arlington Historical Society and Marymount University’s Department of History and Politics.
