Just in time for the holidays, the Arlington Historical Society will host an open house as we serve up a new temporary exhibit: “Stirring Up Memories: Arlington Cookbooks.”   We’ll serve food and drinks based on recipes in the cookbooks.

Many Arlington churches, schools, service organizations, and clubs issued cookbooks, most with the aim of building and nurturing community.  Many of the cookbooks in the exhibit are on loan from members of the Arlington community and have never been seen in public before.

While you’re at the museum, take a look at the exhibits that show all of Arlington history from Native Americans to 9/11. We’ll also offer tours behind the scenes as we prepare to begin work in 2022 to renovate and preserve this oldest existing schoolhouse in Arlington.
