The Arlington Historical Society is hosting a reception for AHS Members at the Arlington Arts Grant photo exhibit by former AHS President and current Board Member Tom Dickinson, entitled “Windows to the Past…. Arlington Then and Now.”
Join us, free, for light hors d’oeuvres, meet local historian/preservation advocate, and photographer Tom Dickinson, and view the “Windows to the Past” exhibit that he offers. This exhibit is a comparative photo compilation showing dozens of homes and buildings in Arlington that all have been demolished over the last 40 years and the structures that replaced them in the same location. He used original wood window frames and two porcelain steel Lustron panels salvaged from the demolished homes to mount the photos.
