Visit the Arlington Historical Society at its indoor booth at the Arlington County Fair, Friday through Sunday afternoon. Test your knowledge of Arlington history, find your neighborhood on historical maps of the county, and pose for a picture with one of the thousands of “Billy Yank” soldiers stationed at the Arlington ring of forts during the Civil War. Stop by and learn more about what society does and how YOU can become involved. Saturday’s treat: a slide show of the archaeological dig at the Ball-Sellers House last year, including a sneak peek of some of the thousands of artifacts.
