The entire world is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the Arlington Historical Society, as a member of the Arlington County World War I Commemoration Task Force, is doing its part throughout the day, November 11, 2018.
The Annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Arlington War Memorial in Clarendon Central Park takes on added meaning this year and special recognition will be made to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
The ceremony will include the posting of colors, a moment of silence for all those who have sacrificed for our country in war, and remarks by County Board member Christian Dorsey and WWI Commemoration Task Force Chair Allison Finkelstein. Reception following at American Legion Post 139, located 3445 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201.
