Nothing says holiday celebration more than food so the Arlington Historical Museum is raiding the kitchen! In our new holiday exhibit we have some of the amazing kitchen implements and tools in our collection. You’ll see some tools for when Arlington kitchens had to be totally self-sufficient and families had to make their own butter and prepare their own animals.  Plus a lot of implements used by our forebears that are the precursors of some of the kitchen tools we use today–used with and without electricity.

This free exhibit will be on display now through the end of January. The museum is grateful to the many Arlingtonians who did NOT throw their old outdated kitchen tools away but instead discovered that the Arlington Historical Society can use them.  All of the artifacts you’ll see were donated to the Arlington Historical Museum.  Thank you to all of those who help us preserve history–especially the history of how regular people lived everyday. The museum is open FREE on Fridays 1230-3:30 and Saturdays and Sundays 1-4.
